Sep. 3rd, 2012 10:06 amStupid holiday slowing down business transactions. I don't work on Mondays anyway! :P My realtor said that the selling agent for the place I want is probably on vacation, and the bank is closed, so it'll be a little while longer before we hear back about the status of our contract. Yesterday, my in-laws came up and looked at the two houses with Gail and me. I have a strong preference for Property 2, but I assumed the others would like Property 1 better, and I wanted to hear their arguments for and against each before making my mind up. Turns out, everyone prefers Property 2 by a lot, so it's a no-brainer. We're most likely going to withdraw our offer from Property 1, but we are going to sit on it for another couple of days just to let it sink in. But I'm cautiously excited about the new place now. It's starting to feel real...
Today is Virginia Tech's season opener, vs. Georgia Tech. No pansy third-rate opponent to kick things off this year. Gail and Shellie and possibly my father-in-law are all joining me at the sports bar tonight with the rest of the Hokie Club to watch the game. I'm excited to show Gail what it's like to be a hokie fan. So much better than her silly wahoos.
Let's go Hokies!!!
