Happy Monday

I'm working the first half of this week at NCM, so it's a real Monday for me. It started off in typical Monday fashion when I slipped my foot into a shoe full of broken glass. I put on boots I hadn't worn since before my accident, and they happened to be in the old car at the time of the accident -- it didn't occur to me that glass would be inside them, and when I put them on, it didn't feel like glass at first. It just felt like the insole was a little fucked up, but I've had these boots for a long time so I figured maybe it was just normal wear and I tried to ignore it. Whoops. After I walked around like this for a few minutes, I realized it was supremely uncomfortable and then it dawned on me why. I'm also wearing brand new stockings for the first time today. Go figure. They don't appear to have torn, but we'll see how they're doing at the end of the day. My left foot definitely has a few tender spots, but I don't think any cuts? Sigh.

I'm grateful to my Friday self for tying up a lot of loose ends instead of leaving them to be dealt with by Monday Meg like I often do. At least there's that. The office isn't too busy right now, but I did get one irritating phone call from an agent. We work with her agency on some of their claims, but not all of them, and she called me for info on one of the claims that we're not handling. When I told her it wasn't ours, she got super bitchy with me. Always fun to start your day getting growled at for someone else's mistake. I just don't get why people feel the need to be that particular brand of rude.

I'm glad I have lots of pictures of my nieces here at my desk. Looking at them makes me feel happy. I love those girls so much :)
