Yesterday the boys at work finished making one of the two rings I ordered for myself. This one is really cool. It's a setting I really liked, but I couldn't find a stone for it that I liked. It's round. The setting is pretty heavy so I wanted a nice color that would hold its own against the gold. White gold, of course. Anyway when my mom was here, we were fishing through some of the cases of jewelry we keep in the safe. We dug up some really gorgeous lavendar CZ. The stone is worth like 50 cents, but it's beautiful, so I had them stick it in a ring anyway. It's really pretty, and it makes me happy. Hopefully they'll finish my ametrine ring soon, cause that's been sitting in their box for ages. Oh well.
I need to go scrounge up breakfast before work. Yay for being tacky and putting a cheap-ass stone in a $180 setting (I didn't pay that much for it, though). :)
