Sep. 29th, 2003 07:46 pmEverybody is breaking up! I swear, it's the time of year. People have left for school and been gone or been readjusting or whatever...it always seems like three to six weeks back into the school year is the most volatile time for couples. But some of the folks breaking up aren't in school, even. Maybe it's El Nino. My friend Rebekah is getting a divorce after 27 years. I just can't imagine...it makes me sad:( But I guess if it's what's best for the couples, it's not necessarily a bad thing...but man.
I got a letter from Jilly today. It was the first I'd heard from her in a few months, so that was pretty cool. She might be going to some third world country to teach English...I'm really jealous! But my job is bitchin', so I don't mind. Oh yeah, my job...today I had a meeting with the owners. They sat me down and wanted to know what went wrong with a diamond customer, who told me he felt like Mike treated him poorly and drove off the sale. Of course Mike was defensive and wouldn't take in anything I tried to tell him, so that was obnoxious, but at least I was able to sit there and give him a piece of my mind for a bit. We're cool, he just needed to be scolded. It's his money, not mine. I'm only trying to help. I did convince Randy to order in some fancy cut diamonds for display. I told him that since no one likes to buy the diamonds we have in the store, but rather order something in that fits their exact desires, we may as well have some cool stuff to show off instead of just rounds and marquise cuts. So I'll have something new to play with at work soon:)
I'm really sore from weightlifting already. We had an intense class today, I must say. At least only two quad exercises. Coach Soltis complimented me on how well I was doing on the coordination/conditioning drills. That was cool, cause it's the only thing I can do better than the guys at, and I'm glad he's noticing.
I've written a lot once again for a day that doesn't really have all that much news. I can't believe people still read this:) Oh well, I'm glad I interest some people, anyway.
