Oct. 27th, 2003 11:11 amI noticed this while driving to, from, and around Charlottesville this weekend. The vast majority of cars with those "God Bless America" stickers are foreign. Now that's a little ironic and hypocritical, huh? I'm not saying there's anything wrong with a foreign car, but it certainly doesn't do America any good for you to drive one. That said, I can't wait to throw out my Chevy for an Audi TT. But at least I will never have any "God Bless America" or "United We Stand" stickers.
This weekend was good, not long enough, though. Jer performed a wedding in Keswick, so I went to the reception after work and we stayed the night with my folks. I had to give back the Lincoln, and, surprise, surprise, my Corsica's still not fixed. The dealership has tentatively agreed to provide a rental for me for the next few weeks, which I suppose I will enjoy...but it's such a hassle.
Last night Jer and I went to Walmart and I bought some gel insoles. So, yeah, today I'm "gellin'," but it's not quite all it's cracked up to be. First of all, I had to almost completely delace my sneakers just to get my feet in them without bunching up the insoles. That was a pain. And the arches on these things stick up really high, and they hurt more than they help. Basically they just crowd my shoes. I think I'll take them out before too much longer.
What else? I'm starting to think (already) about next year's living arrangements. I *love* living with Zsa-Zsa, but I don't think he'd be crazy about living with Jeremy next year, so I doubt we'll be roommates again, though hopefully we'll be in the same apartment complex, if I do decide to stay in MVH. I want to keep my current apartment, because it's cheap and I love it, but I don't know if my other roommates are wanting to stay. I wouldn't mind living with them again but I don't think they want to live with a couple, either. Jer and I are thinking we either need to find another couple to live with or just get a two bedroom place. We haven't decided. Ah well.
Anyhow I've got class in just a bit, so I'm off. Peace.
