Nov. 1st, 2003 08:23 amI didn't end up partying at all last night. Instead I went to bed around 9pm. Two of my roommates went out partying dressed as different characters with guns. They were running around the apartment "shooting" everything in sight. When I didn't act scared or amused, they were like, "Why are you in such a bad mood?" Um...not in a bad mood, but I hate guns. They offend me. I didn't say anything because they were having a good time and I want them to have a good time, but why anyone enjoys playing with guns (real or fake) is beyond me. Anyway.
It's hard to believe it's already November. It seems like this year is flying by. That's a good thing. I can't wait to fly all the way through May. I'll graduate, get a new car, a new house (maybe?), and I'll have two raises by then...ooh and a niece! How can we forget? She comes in March.
Thanksgiving is coming:) I can't wait:) The only thing that sucks is that I'm going to have to get up early for work every day and drive to and from Charlottesville. Hopefully my family will have a shopping day and come to Harrisonburg to see me:) I wish that Thanksgiving was a longer lasting holiday. All of my cousins come, but most of them only stay Wednesday through Saturday morning, and I have to work most of the time so I don't see enough of them. It's like Thanksgiving is the only time of year when enough people are together to have really fun games of Balderdash and Cranium. My family rocks, man. This will be the first Elder family (mom's maiden name) Thanksgiving with a baby in nine years:) My youngest cousin is 9! Wow. That blows my mind. I am getting old. I'm only 20. Shut up, Meg. You're not old. You're young, stupid, and naive...at least according to society, right?
Anyhow I've got to be at work in an hour, which means I should hop in the shower if I want to be presentable at all. I'm babysitting Dr. Jo's kids tonight:) That's exciting. Then finally a day off on Sunday:) Yay:) Since I was too tired to party last night, and since I don't have to wake up early on Sunday, I should have people over tonight for Cranium or something. That would be splendid. Ben, Alice? Please...
