Tell me all your thoughts on God...
Sep. 27th, 2004 09:47 amI have my first test of the year today at 11. Reformation Theology. It should be the easiest of the three that I have this week, but it's Abshire, so it's hard to say. When you think you've done well in his class, you end up with a middle B, but you can get an A sometimes without even trying. Luckily, I haven't tried very hard yet. :)
I've been going buckwild on ebay lately. I've bought tons of beads, so I guess I need to learn how to string, huh? It could help. I can buy stringing supplies with ADF's account, as long as either Jer or I am (is?) still an employee. That stuff is pretty cheap, anyway.
I didn't have to work this morning because of the test. I'm a lot less stressed now than I otherwise would be. I have to go in at 12, but that's no big deal because I'll go straight up to Massanutten for the wine tasting from there. It looks like it could rain, but if Janet makes one of her executive decisions and says we're not going, I think I'll just leave anyway. They've got three other salespeople in the store today anyway.
I've decided I'm going to have to give my notice in letter form. I'll type it up tonight and give it to Randy after I double check with Jan that she'll put me on full time at the Nut. Although, if she won't, I'll apply for part time work in another department. I love working there. Yesterday, I was supposed to work 8-4, but I noticed at 4:30 that I'd gotten so deep into what I was doing that I'd forgotten to go home. I calculated that I should be getting about $100/week from the two shifts I work there. Hourly speaking, it's not much, but the exchange of actual work for dollars in pocket is very favorable. At ADF, considering my work is on my mind 24/7, the money I get is way below what it should be, even if it is $1.50/hr than I get at the Nut.
Did I write about going to the movies with Dawn and Amanda? I don't think I mentioned it. We saw "The Forgotten," which is the only movie that has ever caused me to scream in the theater. It was by far the most terrified I have ever been. Not that I enjoy that feeling, but it was a great film. I highly recommend it, but don't see it if you have to sleep alone that night. Hanging out with the girls was great fun. I don't do stuff like that enough. This Saturday is Homecoming. Amanda and my brother-in-law are going together. We set them up on a blind date. Two psych majors, two of my best pals...it is a match made in heaven (from my perspective, anyway). I really want Nathan to get married so that I can have a sister-in-law and be all close with her and start a new members of the Taylor family club. But he's only 20 and a sophomore in college, so I'd best not push it. But Nate, if you're reading this, hop to! :) Also I want to be in more weddings. Mine was so much fun, I just can't wait to do it again. When Emily gets married, I am going to spoil her, because now I have all these great ideas. I probably won't come up with as cool an idea for a shower, but other than that, I totally have it all figured out. Chris is a pretty cool dude. I definitely want the two of them to go the distance. He treats her so well...she was telling me about his anniversary surprise for her...so sweet.
My husband did the most romantic thing for me yesterday - he finally mowed the lawn:) He risked death by yellowjacket to appease the neighborhood association. I think we're just going to have to find some kid who's willing to mow weekly for us for slave wages. We're too overworked/lazy to regularly take care of both the outside AND inside parts of our house!
Anyhow, it is about that time. Time to study. Bah. Peace:)
