Cold Mountain, etc...
Jan. 3rd, 2005 09:03 amJer and I watched Cold Mountain last night. I had no idea it would be so intense. I literally cried the whole time. I cried all night thinking about it. When I woke up, I was still crying. The thing is, it's not just a movie. The things in it actually happened. I'm sure some members of my family were involved on one side of the issue or another. Those things happen still today. If I hadn't been a pacifist already, this movie would have made me one. That said, it's really, really, really good.
Today is the first day of class at BC. Fifteen school days and I am DONE. :) I'm very excited about that. My books only cost a grand total of $40, too. Rock on. I'm looking forward to this class, but it's a lot of reading, so I hope I don't burn out too quickly. We're reading Christopher Marlowe's Dr. Faustis. I'm most looking forward to that one. I've got lots of pals in that class, too. It should be fun.
Now I need to find a way to kill the next hour, because registration flew by with more ease than anticipated.
Peace.
