(no subject)

They say the big boss - mountain GM - is on his way over. Of course, I pick this time to relax and LJ for the first time at work. The thing is, I'm able to finish my daily responsibilities by about 3:30 each day. I'm here to answer the phone until 5pm, but this week, the phone hasn't really been ringing. I don't have messages to return, I'm caught up with everything I need to do...I'm in great shape. So why not take advantage of my internet access, eh?

EFO just postponed the show I was going to on Sunday. Eddie's mom is sick, so who knows when it'll be rescheduled, or if they will have to cancel other dates this year - I'm planning on four more concerts between now and December. Le sigh.

Anyway, I guess I could find some work...I just remembered some receipts I have to mail. I'll do that.

Well.
It's been a long week and I'm still not prepared to discuss most of it.
But.

I'm loving my job. I find that the day absolutely flies by, and I'm getting to the point where I'm figuring a lot of things out and I don't have to ask so many questions anymore. I really hate the learning stages of a job because I feel so stupid. I know it's just that I don't know the stuff yet, but I still hate being at the mercy of other people. I'm used to being the best at whatever it is that I do, and I don't like not knowing all the answers. But I'm getting better.

I had a call today that I would've sworn was a prank call except for the fact that the guy had a legitimate account number and shit. It's a long story, though. I'm just not in the mood to get into it. I'm so worn out from all the getting into it I've already done this week.

Jer is training at the front desk some tonight. I dropped him off and hung out for about a half hour, and I'll go pick him up soon. There's another new girl training with him, and I think Jeremy was subconsciously trying to one-up her while they trained. He knows a little bit from me talking about the job, and he kept throwing in little tidbits. Silly boy. He'll probably read this and act all offended and what ev ah about it, but it's true;)

Anyway, I'm going to go relax for a little bit, take some deep breaths and just not do anything for a while...

Anyone who wants to email me at work, FEEL FREE! Email helps me look busy when I'm really not.
