I forgot that I am enlisted for babysitting a five and a three year old tonight. My mom owes me big for this. Originally, Mom invited me over to play with the Buchanan boys on Friday night. I accepted. Then she tells me she and Dad won't be home, and they need me to babysit for the evening. I unaccepted. So then she asked Jeremy if we'd be willing to babysit, and Jeremy reaccepted on my behalf. It's not that I don't want to help my mother or see these boys, it's just that they're a huge handful, and I need to rest. I've gone a lot of days without a day off now, and the last way I wanted to cap off the streak was chasing little children around all the most fragile things in my mom's house - and then driving an hour back home before actually going to bed. Sigh. I do love these boys, and Jer will be there, so I guess it's not too bad, it just kinda gets in the way of my plans to go to the gym. I'll have to do a yoga video when I get home or something. I doubt we'll make it home in time for me to go to the gym here before it closes.
Anyway...the forecast for tomorrow is splendid - cold but clear - and I really want to make hiking a go. Only problem is, no one's gotten back to me with a definite yes. I've got some maybes and some I'd like to, I'll let you knows, but no I'm in, when and where do I meet you?s. Come on, folks, step up.
I did meet my training goals last night. I ran 25 minutes on the elliptical (I found that it's a lot easier if you don't set a time - when you're not watching a countdown, it's a lot less discouraging;) ), I did all the upper body machines that didn't overlap on the same muscle groups, and I did some freeweight lifting. I didn't do a ton of stretching at the gym, but I did when I got home. And I used the ab lounge a good bit again yesterday. Hopefully I'll find time to work out a bit tonight to keep my streak alive. Maybe I'll take my yoga and pilates dvd to my parents' house and make Jer take sole custody of the boys until I'm done. Actually, that's a good plan.
Peace.
