Jan. 6th, 2006 03:21 pmThis week has really dragged. You have no idea how glad I am that it's Friday. For some weird reason, we're really slow at work this afternoon, so I'd really like to leave early...but Cassidy already asked before me, so she gets to go at 4 and I get to go at 4:30...although...if it stays this slow, I may be able to take off with her. We'll see.
Our temp quit today. She's missed more days than she's worked, and she decided it just wasn't working anymore. Probably the right decision. We're kind of close to the end of the busy season, so I don't suppose we'll get another temp until the next billing cycle. We'll have a couple more waves of terror, with the end of the grace period looming and then the collection deadline. But once we get past those days, it should be - should be - smooth sailing for the next few months.
I really can't wait until Jer's new schedule begins. We're going to learn snowboarding together. Hopefully we won't break anything:) I'm just really looking forward to having all the same free time as my husband. It'll be nice. I foresee more productivity in the house - hopefully this isn't just wishful thinking:)
Alrighty...I've got some work to do. Anyone know any good websites that are safe for work that would pass the time? I'm already a regular at the onion, cnn.com, the washington post, snopes.com, ilovebacon.com, engrish.com, and toothpastefordinner.com, but I've exhausted all their entertainment today. Help!
