My 18-year-old cat, Batman, was raised an outdoor cat. In his old age, he's been staying in more and more, but because he grew up outdoors, he never really learned to use a litter box. He still hasn't figured out how to cover his shit. Rather than investigate the workings of the box, he just shits, and when the stink hits him, he takes off running. We know the cat has just dropped a massive bomb when we see him running full speed through the house. Just thought you might like to know.
