Sep. 21st, 2006 10:13 amI took Ahren and Kmart to the gym with me last night. I kicked those boys' asses:) We lifted for a while and then they thought we were done, and I was like, uh, no, cardio, hello? So Ahren and I got on some ellipticals (no treadmills free) while Kmart kept lifting. Ahren lasted 12 minutes. I stuck it out for the full 30, then rescued them from their freeweight agony. Kmart was like, "whoa, I can't feel my arms!" Yeah, dipshit, that's because you were here for an hour and all you did was bicep stuff! We went out to dinner afterward and then to Best Buy to pick up the new Indigo Girls CD for me.
We ended up spending a total of $100 between the three of us - I got the new IG CD (which is FANTASTIC, btw - they drop a lot of f-bombs, which I'm not used to in their music, but I like it) and David Allan Coe's Greatest Hits for just $8. My brother Adrian got me on a DAC kick so I was happy to find that. Ahren picked up The Aristocrats on DVD because he was appalled I'd never seen it. We put it on when we got home, but I was exhausted and fell asleep after the circle jerk around Gramma part (and here's the kicker: Gramma's dead), but I like it so far and I'm interested in seeing what raunchy goodness comes later on the documentary.
Tonight is bridge night. It's been a while since Ahren and I have played together, but he's been on BBO pretty much the whole time I've been at work, so we'll probably do alright. I'm also going to try to get my new smellphone today before bridge, but I may not have time.
And wtf why is it so chilly all of a sudden? I like autumn and I welcome the season, but I wasn't ready for it. Where are my long sleeves?!
