I'm officially three months away from my half marathon.  All the training programs I've found are 12-week schedules, so that means it's time to start following a program.  I compared a bunch of different ones and ended up going with the one that best suits my workout schedule, where I'll do my weekly long runs on Sundays, cross-training on Mondays, rest Tuesdays and Saturdays, and short runs W-F.  Today's run was 3 miles, which is what I normally do anyway, but the mere fact that it was part of the training program made it much more daunting.  Well, it's also a challenge because Ertan beat the shit out of me yesterday...each time we work out, he attempts to push me just a little bit more than I can handle.  Obviously that's how you get stronger, and that's why I pay him, but holy shit it sucks.  Yesterday he had to ask me if we were still friends after our workout.  I was very near puking for quite some time during and after our session.

I'm going to keep up with my weekly strength training sessions with Ertan as long as they don't get in the way of the running.  I feel like it's almost two completely different kinds of activity, so one shouldn't hinder the other.  And Ertan is a pro, so he can adjust our workouts appropriately given the consideration that I'll be running so much more on my own.  It should be fine.

Not gonna lie, though, it's scary as shit to know that the race is so soon, and I'm done procrastinating.  Eep.
