Feb. 6th, 2006 11:29 pmI'm back in Charlottesville now, but I can't sleep.
Big effing surprise.
People seem to think I'm crazy for not taking a day between jobs to adjust. I'm starting to agree with them. But-- onward, ho!
Since I'm starting anew as of now, I have a few goals I'd like to share:
1) Don't write in LJ about work. It's probably in my best interest not to blog about it and readers find it boring anyway.
2) Investigate gym membership tomorrow. There's an ACAC right next door to my office. Score.
3) Miss my husband like he deserves to be missed, but don't wallow. I'll see him on Friday.
4) Keep my room clean and impress my parents.
I'm pretty much over the illness, although my tummy is still all knottified. Nerves. I haven't done any heavy exercise since my pneumonia diagnosis, but on Saturday night I did a lot of walking. I went out to a bar with a friend, but I was driving, and I'm so anti-dwi that I made him walk around downtown Charlottesville with me for two hours after just having one drink. I needed to be sure I was sober, and people watching was great that night. We were walking among the frat houses near the corner on a party night. Lots of scantily clad young ladies came prancing by in the freezing cold. I guess they were drunk enough not to feel too chilly. Heh:) Charlottesville is fun. It's good to be back.
Peace.
