Nov. 18th, 2006 10:55 amThis new treadmill plan is really paying off. Wow. After my upper body training, I got on the treadmill and started jogging. I didn't even look at the clock until it had already been 6½ minutes, and I kept jogging until after the 10:00 mark. My legs could have kept running, but my asthma told me to chill, so I cut back to a very brisk walk on a slight incline for the next 15 minutes. I then ran for 5 minutes, walked another 6+ to cool down, and got off...I feel quite worked out.
As I gathered my shit in the locker room, the scale caught my eye. I've never weighed myself on that scale before, so I don't know how it compares to the one I have at home, but I decided to chance it anyway. I haven't weighed myself in quite some time...even when I was working out regularly earlier this year, I wasn't really losing much weight, and I know I've gained back most of what I did lose in the two month span where I slacked on my workouts, but I've been really good this week and ever since keeping the food journal, my eating habits have improved, so I figured whatever the scale said, I could handle it. I didn't even take my shoes off.
So, fully clothed, with shoes on, and drenched in sweat, I weighed in at...yeah right, like I'd tell the whole internet. But it was 2 pounds less than my two-year low! WITH SHOES ON. And I haven't even done my shit for fitness regime today. Just to be sure, I kicked the shoes off and weighed myself on that bitch of a scale upstairs. Same result:) I'm 8 pounds lighter than the last time I weighed myself, which I think was a little less than a month ago. Score:)
As a reward to myself, I'm going to make a chocolate cake and eat the whole thing. Just kidding! I'm going to download a couple of songs from iTunes. Because I've earned them. Rah!
