TGIF. For some reason, shorter work weeks seem to be more taxing than regular ones. Not that I want to do away with long weekends. I'm just really welcoming the coming weekend - though I still won't have time to relax. It's all bridge, all the time this weekend. I'm on the unit board now, so I have a meeting on Saturday during the first session (which is a total bummer, if you ask me. I want to play.), but I'm playing in four sessions total, three with Ahren and one with Z.

The AC is still brokefied in my condo, so it's getting really hot in there. I have a fan on, but when the inside air is 90 degrees, a fan only helps but so much. I've been opening the windows at night, but it doesn't ever get very cool outside, either, and last night was just too fucking hot to get comfortable. I slept about 2 hours total, probably. It sucked. And I woke up with major ouchness of the tummy, so I'm a very cranky girl today.

But at least it's Friday.

Ugh, I can relate! I only have 1 window unit in my apartment and it can be very hot even when it's working properly! But here lately, it's only been working so-so. I'm with you, I can't sleep when it's miserably hot. *Yawn*

But! I will be officially in town on Saturday, hot, cranky, exhausted, and overwhelmed. Yay! (I know, weekends are crazy for you. But I'll be an official resident of your fair city! Woot.)

Yay:) I'll be playing bridge all weekend, but I think mczen is planning to catch Ellis Paul at the Gravity Lounge tomorrow night. Maybe you can keep him company?

Well, I'd love to see Ellis and the Gravity Lounge, but I'm pretty sure that I'm going to be hot, overwhelmed, and exhausted. And my dad is coming to help me unpack.

Also - Robbie Schaefer at the public library on Tuesday at 10:30am. I'm skipping out of work for an hour or so to catch that. It's a kids' show. I'm not 100% sure that's this Tuesday, but I'm thinking it is...

The library is downtown, on the other side of the mall from my office. (My office is on Water Street, which is parallel to the mall, then Market Street is on the other side, and the library is on Market.)
