jianantonic | a break before crunch time

In a few hours I'll head down the hall and pick up my final exam from Abshire's office. That class really zoomed by. Right now, Jer and I are neck and neck as far as our grades are concerned. Both of us have a middle A, and our averages differ by less than a point. Unfortunately, sigh, his is higher, thanks to a grading error on the first test. Ah well. At least I have a higher GPA, will graduate in half the time and with more credits, and with honors. Hehe. Not that we're competitive. Right now I'm just taking a moment to relax and not study. Later tonight is one of my favorite parts of the year. Freshmen begin arriving for their summer orientation. Jer and I are orientation leaders for Prof. Watson's honors PDP group. PDP is a Bridgewater thing - kind of like a four year seminar, but not exactly. Anyway we get to be leaders for about 20 kids and take them around campus trying to convince them that they'll love it here (and most of them will). I just really like getting to do stuff like this, so I'm psyched.
I got something really cool in the mail today. A few weeks ago, I was on a major glowstick kick. The local dollar store sells six packs of glowsticks for only a dollar, so I'm always buying tons of them. Who doesn't love glowsticks? Anyway a while back I was in a bad mood so Jer went out to get some glowsticks to cheer me up, and they were duds! I ended up writing to the company about it, cause I'm a dork like that, and today I got a letter or apology and a six dollar gift certificate from them. That's 36 glowsticks, my friend. Rock on! Anyway I really should hit the books now so I'm ready for this test. Have to beat Jeremy, you know. Peace.
