My flights back were pretty decent. I slept more than I expected to (about six hours total), watched some fun movies on the in-flight entertainment, and caught up on my gossip rags. McKenzie was impressed with how alert and non-wiped-out I was when I arrived, and I felt like I might have slept enough to dodge the jet lag bullet. HA HA JUST KIDDING.
I wasn't super tired, but knew I would benefit from a nap, so at 3pm, I got in bed and gave Z the instructions to try not to let me sleep more than 2.5 hours or so. But also not to fight me if I decided I wanted to keep sleeping, because I have no urgent plans or reasons to need to quickly adjust back to normal time. So at 5:30, when he came to wake me up and completely failed, it was no big deal. Then at 8, he gave it another shot, and I remember being surprised that I'd slept so long and deciding to get up and get some dinner. But that's the last thing I remember...I fell asleep again immediately. I woke up briefly when Z finally joined me in bed around 10, and had a slight panic attack that I'd be up all night, but fell back asleep before I was even done panicking about it. Woke up at 3am, decided I'd slept enough, and started surfing the web. There's really nothing going on on the internet at that hour, you know. I played a few games and kept myself entertained until 5, when Z woke up. We hung out doing not much for about an hour, then I decided to go back to sleep. At 10am, I finally woke up, and decided I would get out of bed and go to the gym. Uh...yeah. That didn't really happen. I did get out of bed and I did get dressed for the gym, but my Zune is out of battery so I decided to charge it. Then I downloaded some new music that I'd been meaning to add but couldn't do from outside the US. By the time I was done with that, it was too close to lunchtime to go to the gym...too hungry, etc. So now I'm back in bed, typing this extremely boring entry about how much nothing I've been doing, waiting for lunch hour to roll around, and you know what? I'm fucking exhausted and think I'm going to go back to sleep now.
