Feb. 13th, 2012 08:57 pmToday was kind of a struggle, but I made it through quite nicely and now I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. It took a lot of effort to get going on my work, but I plowed through and made some good progress. I had a much-needed-but-not-quite-long-enough nap in the afternoon, then I had a training session with Ertan in the evening. Dude works me so hard that I can barely move after our sessions, but today he encouraged me to do cardio afterwards (in addition to the cardio I did before!) because he thinks it's a good way to speed up the results. Okay, he's the boss. I couldn't do much, though, so I just got on a recumbent bike for half an hour while I watched the Jazz lose to New Orleans. I have no feelings one way or the other about either of those teams, but I do have a raging crush on Gordon Hayward (guard for the Jazz, the kid from Butler).
Z and I are leaving first thing tomorrow for Santa Clara. I was looking around the playing site area on google maps and I'm pretty excited about the location -- I always stress over whether I'll be able to find decent (healthy) food, or a place to work out, but this hotel is right by a huge mall and the hotel itself is pretty swanky, with a really nice gym. So I'm all set. And after this weekend in Spokane, I'm feeling much better about my bridge game. Still not where I want it to be, but I can get there. And I will.
