Why don't realtors understand words like "must" and "dealbreaker"? I know my specifications are very narrow and there's not much available right now that matches what I want, but that doesn't mean I'm going to commit to a 30-year loan and a permanent relocation to something that's not what I want. I used those words because they were true.

The house we buy MUST...
be in this exact neighborhood. I requested nothing farther than a 1-mile radius from the Beaverton Transit Center. Easy access to that TC is HUGE for me -- I use it all the time. And I'm in love with this neighborhood and the location is really ideal for basically everything that we both do.
have at least two bedrooms and at least two bathrooms. We lived in a 1/1 for a year and it was just way too small. I want a guest room because I like having guests, and you've never had to more urgently get to the bathroom than the times there's only one and it's occupied.

So why did my realtor send me a bunch of listings for condos in Hillsboro with 1br/1ba? And why does she keep mentioning good school districts? We told her we don't have kids and aren't planning on it. We're not looking for "the perfect place to raise a family," we're looking for the perfect place for US, and I've pretty much described exactly what that is, so why waste everyone's time with all this other nonsense? Bleh. I really miss my realtor from VA.

I know that the realtor is not going to get rich off of anything we buy, because we're looking on the cheap end of the market, so maybe we're not a priority or something, but I do feel like I've made it very simple for her by telling her exactly what I'm looking for and telling her that I'm willing to wait until the right thing comes on the market -- I just want her to keep me posted when new listings pop up in the area. But there are two properties currently for sale that I've asked her about like five times and she's just ignored those questions. A negative answer would be much better than no answer.
