Unsettling decisions
Oct. 14th, 2004 02:41 pmI used to believe there was a natural order - laws of nature, things like that. Now, I'm not so sure. I think all of that, even math, is just made up to make people feel more comfortable about the world. I won't get into it now because I have to leave for work, but this all came about from reading Thomas Kuhn's The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. Class today was lousy - I kept feeling dizzy and wanting to go to sleep. I think I'm sicker than my symptoms indicate. But not too too sick, just the kind of sick where you should lie in bed for a few days straight and then get back to normal. I'd like to do that, but when? I work tonight until 10, tomorrow until 11, Saturday until 9, then up at 7 for the day shift on Sunday. My next "day off" is Monday, but I have class then so it really doesn't count. Oh well, not like the job is hard - I'm just not supposed to sleep there. Sigh.
Ding...lunch is ready.
Peace
