The Ogden sectional was tons of fun, but that has little to do with the bridge :). I had a great time with Max, but our success was only marginal. I do feel like we played pretty well, though. We made just enough mistakes to keep ourselves out of contention without some lucky breaks, and I'd say our luck fell to the bad side of the spectrum most of the time. Oh well.

Z and I began our long trek hone yesterday morning, but since we have until tonight to get home, we decided to take it slow and stop at some places we've never been along the way. Yesterday that meant a visit to Shoshone Falls in the Snake River Canyon in Idaho. I posted a pic on Facebook -- it is breathtakingly beautiful. We hiked around the canyon rim for about an hour before getting back on the road. We drove around Twin Falls a bit, stopping for lunch and just generally exploring. Out of curiosity, I looked up home prices on Zillow. A lot of the houses we saw would be million-dollar estates in bigger cities, but nothing in Twin Falls was more than 285k. If you want a really fancy house and don't mind living in a red state far away from everything else, Twin Falls is definitely worth considering. The town itself has plenty of
amenities, so even though it is really isolated, it isn't like pioneer living or anything.

I was able to sleep for the next few hours of our drive, and when I woke up, we were crossing into eastern Oregon as it was getting dark and starting to snow. We decided to stop for the night and found a decent motel in Ontario. I watched the blazers lose, played some online bridge, and got a decent night's rest. We were back on the road by 9am, and we're currently driving through snow-covered eastern Oregon. Still five hours or so from home, and we'll probably stop and do some hiking somewhere along the way.
