Not resolutions, just plans
Jan. 1st, 2013 09:34 pmMaking a resolution for the whole year just gives me too much time to put shit off. I do better with short-term goals.
My biggest January goal is to get the third bedroom set up/unpacked/livable here. That means putting away the last of the shit that we've been storing in there to deal with "later," hanging lots of art, making a few runs to Goodwill, buying and assembling a bed of some sort...a lot to do, but will be very nice to have it done.
I suppose another important goal is to stop wrecking my car. Maybe easier to just stop driving. I need to get back on the bike, but it's so fucking cold...
Of course there's the half marathon in four short months, holy shit, I'd better start taking that seriously...
I also want to get the seahorse tank set up...one of these days...I'm basically ready to get started on that, but it's a lot of money, so it'll be a slow process at first.
And Weight Watchers. I will probably be taking on some regular meetings finally one day soon, so I should get back in the swing of that...
None of this should be too challenging, but all of it will require some major motivation. I'm trying.
