Feb. 28th, 2013 02:22 pmThings have been crazy hectic at home and at work lately, thus the lack of posts from me, but I finally have a few minutes of down time. I probably don't, really, it's just that I'm forgetting whatever it is I am supposed to be doing.
Kelly's boyfriend Dave is back in town again, and soon they'll take off together and go back to Michigan for a bit, and then Kelly will start her job in Arizona, and have I mentioned here how much I'm going to miss her? I have LOVED having her around. I really, really, really, really hope she ends up back here after her summer assignment. Dave also has some potential work here, so I'm kind of hoping he'll move out here soon, and that'll all but guarantee her return. Plus Dave is cool and I like hanging out with him, too.
My grandfather-in-law's funeral was Tuesday, and even though funerals are always a bummer, this was more of a celebration. Most everyone in the family is handling it all pretty well, and I think things will settle more or less back to normal with relative ease. But between bridge all weekend, funeral all day Tuesday, a late Blazer game last night, and a five-mile lunchtime run today, I am SPENT. My brain is barely working now, and I'm pretty much counting the minutes until I can get home tonight and eat my traditional Thursday night Indian food dinner. Noms and drool...
I wish I didn't feel so tired so much of the time. Where did my youthful energy go?
