Gatlinburg may be one of the tackiest places on Earth, but I can't help myself. I just love it here. I'm not even ashamed of it.

Bob and I played yesterday in the open pairs with little success, but it was fun and he's a very nice partner to have. Today we're teaming up with McKenzie and Garth for some sweet, sweet bracket three action. Hopefully we'll go the distance there.

Someone is gassing me out of bed right now, so I think I'm going to take a shower and then hit the shoppes of the Smokeys for some technicolor souvenirs.

I've been through that way before and, oh, my god, is that place hokey. But! Also very pretty. I can definitely see reveling in it. I'm tentatively planning a mountain trip late this summer and finding out just how difficult it is to avoid that campy sort of fake stone cabin feel.
