I am getting shit done. I feel good! I'm taking a break now :)

I woke up with a brutal headache, which I think is still caffeine/soda withdrawal. I had my morning ddp and then got on with my day. First thing, I got a CODE 20 post done. I've been kind of slacking with that, so it felt good to get up and get something published right away. A real feel good story, too. Anyway, once done with that, I had a request from a friend to help shop for airline tickets, so I put a lot of work into that. I wrote him a dissertation on his options and I think I'll book him something within a couple of days. I love helping people travel :)

Then a long-out-of-touch friend posted something on Facebook about needing a contact at etsy, and hey, my brother works there, so I put them in touch and just got all warm fuzzy about all the help I was dishing out. Facebook is amazing like that -- someone in New York posts something about needing something in New York, and someone in Portland makes it happen. Technology is incredible.

I had my music playing by then and was up and running around my room, tidying and organizing. I have a long way to go before it's where I want it to be, but it was great to get so much done. Whenever I'm in hyperproductivity mode like this, I always find myself dancing in the mirror. So I did a fair bit of that, and I'm just in a great mood. But I am a little tired, and I have my trainer at 3, so I'm giving myself a break, patting myself on the back for all I've accomplished so far, and I'm relaxing now. It's possible I'll get up and get more cleaning and organizing done in a little while, but I feel good about what's done so far, so I won't feel like a failure if I don't do any more. As long as I don't let myself be sedentary the rest of the morning.

Falcon Ridge is so soon! Yay! I'm mentally planning my packing, and I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible, but we all know that I'm not very good at that when it comes to this fest. And of course I'll buy a ton of stuff from the vendors there, too, so no matter how simple I start...I'm going to have quite a haul to bring home. It's just me this year, so I don't need to worry about having a large air mattress at least...and I've got a rental car, so I can park next to my tent and have most of my stuff in there, safe and dry...it's just getting everything on the plane that sucks balls. Traveling cross country with camping gear is a drag. Worth it, though! Possibly borrowing some gear from Josh & Mary to lighten my load, but I really don't know what I should try to replace/downsize. Whatever. It'll work out. If I forget something important, the Shanty provides.

What about shipping the camping gear ahead, or is there no good place to have it wait for you?
