Things that make me happy today:
Jeremy spending the afternoon with his grandmother even if I didn't get to go, picking up my paycheck, chocolate cake I forgot we had, Friends season 8 on DVD on Tuesday, and the clean house.

It's November. That means that there's really only one month left in the school term. Then one leetle interterm class and no more school for me until I decide I want to go to grad school. That is very happy.

I think by next week (hopefully!) Jeremy will have a new job. He refuses to speculate, but I don't:) He won't quit RT, but he will cut back so he can be a full time minister. I like being a minister's wife. I had a long discussion with a Presbyterian lady at work today about the Bible. The awesome thing was that I was able to quote it very accurately and give convincing arguments about the different authors of the old testament. She'd always just assumed Moses wrote the whole thing, but when I asked her how he wrote his own death, she said, "Huh, good point, I never really thought about that. I guess I was wrong." And see I was proud of myself for being all biblically intellectual, but it's kind of disturbing that someone can hold a belief without ever really thinking about it - she said so herself. Le sigh.

Where is Shelly?

Peace.

Oh right on. Jer has always been (well, since he was 19) a licensed minister with the Church of the Brethren. I'm personally not Christian, but I really don't have any issues with the COB, so I support his ministry completely. It is his long-term goal to be a full-time minister. Right now the only opening is a youth minister job in Staunton, about 40 minutes away, but one of our professors is on the nurture committee (the group that decides whom to hire) and seems to be excited about Jer applying, so I think he'll get it. It's not a full-time job, but it's a good foot in the door for the area...he's preached a lot in Roanoke but never in this particular district. So there you have it:)
