Things are very roller coastery. Life is challenging, but rewards appear at various intervals. I know there will be more ups and downs for a while. I just hope things keep trending upward. My marriage is very much in a 5-steps-forward; 4-steps-back kind of pattern. I love my husband and want to stay married. He feels the same. In so many ways, we are a better couple than we've ever been. But there's still so much hurt, some old, some new. We're working hard, though.
Fitness is a little better. After letting myself be way too lazy (even while half marathon training), I'm following WW closely now and sticking to a better workout program. I've been going to Body Pump regularly, and have a pretty good Monday-Wednesday-Saturday schedule going for me with that. I'll be traveling the next several weekends, but I'll do my best to stay in the routine. I've done all 18 days of the June Ab Challenge thing on Facebook so far. It's fucking hard! And I have a strawberry on my tailbone from all the situps I've done on my carpet, so that makes it even more delightful. I'm sporting a super stylish butt bandaid right now. Do you know how hard it is to accurately place a bandaid on your own ass? Jesus.
I'm still running occasionally, but basically only for cardio, no long runs. I am verbally committed to a 4-mile race in a couple of weeks, and I've told Z that I want to run an official 5K with him sometime, but nothing is on the books yet for that. I don't think he's very keen on the idea, anyway.
I realized I'll be in Vegas during the NBA Summer League, so I'll try to catch the Blazers there a time or two if I can. That should be fun. It doesn't look like I'm going to play any bridge, but that could change. I'm certainly in for some midnights.
Real estate continues. I think I'll take my licensing exam next month -- looks like I'm going a lot faster than I thought I would.
Anyway. I'm doing alright. I'm feeling generally down, but I do have a lot of positive things going on. Hugs always help.
