Favorite things

I don't think people are really thinking it through when they say things like "chocolate is my favorite thing." Because I think not getting shit on is better than chocolate, and we shouldn't take that for granted.

I see your point but I do think it is a matter of perspective and I hate to say "it is a parent thing" to childfree folks, but this is one instance where it applies.
In certain life situations, like having small kids and pets, getting shit on just becomes routine, and I still enjoy chocolate more than I dislike getting shit on, and I don't even have much of a sweet tooth. ;)
