Dec. 23rd, 2004 10:57 amUgh, stress.
Jeremy told me last night that his grandfather has prostate cancer. He doesn't know many details but apparently it's fairly far along. He's going to a specialist in Alabama soon. Jer had prostatitis a couple of times last year, so of course I start to worry about him, too. No one in my family has ever had cancer, except my aunt who had breast cancer, which was found and eradicated very early. She literally got her mammogram results and had surgery that week. It always scares me how most people who get diagnosed with cancer wait a while before they start treatment. Even a week or something, it's like, get going! But anyway it's not something I've ever really had to deal with. I know it hit Jer pretty hard, too, because his grandparents are so young. They're barely into their seventies, and they're so active. Jer was up in the middle of the night last night. When he came back to bed I asked him what was wrong and he said he was really stressed but he didn't want to talk about it. I can understand that. I guess we just have to wait it out.
I got my report card yesterday. I got A's in all my classes, which was actually kind of unexpected. I got an A- in Reformation Theology which means I bombed the final, because my average was a 95, I think. Oh well, still an A. I am soooo almost done.
I'm hungry. I need to go do something else.
Peace.
