Feb. 23rd, 2005 10:56 amI guess I got a lot done yesterday, kind of. I found out that the job I want at BC is pretty much ungettable for this year, so I wrote to Jan and asked her to consider me for the newly vacant supervisor job. I talked to all my coworkers about it and they all said they thought it was a good idea. We'll see...
I also wore makeup to work yesterday, in anticipation of talking to Jan (I wanted to look a little more grown up), but she wasn't there. I did, however, get tons of compliments from the other women, and one of them even asked me to set up a class at her house. This MK stuff is even easier than I'd anticipated! :) One of the other ladies also placed an order with me yesterday. I must be butter, cause I'm on a roll.
I worked an extra two hours last night, because no one was on the schedule past nine except Olga. So the two of us worked managerless from 9-11. We held our own. It was really cool being the only ones there, but I'm glad it was a Tuesday and not any other day of the week, when we actually have work to do. I can't imagine that Jan is happy about not having a manager there for even a little bit, so I'm hoping that will be fuel to my application. Or some other metaphor that makes better sense.
Anyway, the Vogens were supposed to arrive in town yesterday, so I think I'm going to swing by their house in a bit and see if they want to go out to lunch with me. They might not have arrived yet, though. We'll see.
Anyhow, I'm out of here.
Peace.
