Feb. 24th, 2005 09:07 amIt actually snowed. I didn't think mother nature had it in her. Not that this affects me in the least. Well, maybe it means tonight on the switchboard I'll be answering a few more questions about weather and road conditions - again, not like I know the answers to these things. The #1 thing I wish I could say lately:
Caller: I'm going to be coming on March 18. Will there be any snow?
Me: Why don't you tell me about the weather in your hometown a month in advance and then I'll tell you.
Oh well. Jan told me she got my note (about wanting to move up in the world) and she said she liked the idea. Basically she told me I'd have to wait until Wayne was gone to know for sure, but I'm definitely a candidate. I'm glad she took me seriously, given that my name badge still says trainee. Bitches. How hard is it to print a new one? Damn.
I finished One for the Money last night. My mom made me read it, because it's her favorite series. I have to admit, I did enjoy it. However, it had its moments of high tension, and it got me all worked up. There were two points while reading this book where I actually JUMPED. I was reading, for crying out loud, and it made me jump! That's how I am - I get so into the plot of books, movies, etc. I don't know if this is good for me. I'm glad I'm not that way with the news.
Jcow and I had lunch at CiCi's yesterday (which STILL reminds me of Patrick Barley), and there was this little boy there...he was there with his mom and older brother. I'd say he was no older than 4, but probably only 3. Out of the blue, he frantically starts tugging on his mom's sleeve, going, "Mommy! Mommy!" She answered. Then he said, "Is Jesus is our hearts?" I just thought that was sooo cute. But unfortunately I also thought that the poor kid is never going to think for himself for the rest of his life. Oh well. It's not a bad thing to have Jesus in your heart - it is important to know what Jesus is up to, though. I have a feeling if he did come again, he'd get executed again by the same group - the religious right. Ironic, huh?
Anyway, I'm out of words. Time to recycle some of these as I catch up on email. Peace.

Hey, he's 3...I would cut him some slack. Little kids *don't* think for themselves. At least not to the extent that adults do. It's something that comes with mental and emotional maturity. And some people don't learn to do it for a long-ass time. Remember me in 9th grade?
