Meh. The snow outside is pretty, but I woke up far too early. I only slept about 8 hours last night. Granted, that's a decent amount, but when I had the whole day off, I'd hoped to make up some more ground. Oh well. It's funny, because it's really cold out, and it's snowing like mad, but the pond is still not frozen. Not even a little. It looks cool that way, like the pond is somehow consciously defiant of nature's will. Maybe if I drink from it I'll live forever like in Tuck Everlasting. I'm thinking since I've lived here a year and seen all those dogs swim there, I'm not going to test that hypothesis.

Either Jeremy or Brent is up. I just heard a door open downstairs. Brent. He told me something interesting last night about something I've been dying to know forever. Hmm, I shouldn't say much more or he'll never tell me anything again. But it was news that made me happy, so you can guess what that means, maybe.

One would think that since I live on a mountain, there'd be plenty of great sledding hills. And there are, you just have to pay for them and wait in long lines. Stupid tubing park. I'll probably get called in to work today anyway, because I'm sure there will be people calling and saying they can't come. Should I go? I'd have to be off by 6...but I think I will. That would be killer OT. I finished off last week yesterday with 43.25 hours. That's a whole OT hour more than last week, when I made $20 more than usual on my paycheck.

I definitely feel you have a sleep debt that you make up for when you have time off. It's been proven in teenagers anyway, and I still feel it to be true for me.

Tuck Everlasting? I saw the really old one, but I'm one of those people that hates all things Disney, so you couldn't pay me to see the new one.

I didn't realize there was an old one. I'll have to check that out. The book is so precious.
