I'm really looking forward to the next few days. The fun starts tonight, when Jeremy and I take Jay and Shawn out for pizza at CiCi's. I love that place. Then tomorrow, Emily Slye and I are going on a hike. We went back and forth about where to go for about 20 minutes on the phone this afternoon and left it at, "I'll be at your house at 1:30 and we'll wing it." But whatever comes up, I'm sure we'll have a blast. The forecast is perfect - 60 degrees and sunny! Joy:) Oh, I should mention that my other friends who are on spring break now are certainly invited to the hanging out. Especially you, EMILY VANCHO. Expect a call.

Then we fast forward just 12 short days to the 19th, and Jeremy, Emily, Emily's mom, and I will all be living it up at an Indigo Girls concert. I haven't seen them live since 2002, which is a really long time for me to go without seeing a band. (I saw EFO 10 times last year, and Girlyman 8). I have the day off work after the IG show so I can head up to Philly with my parents and husband to celebrate my niece's first birthday:) Yay:) By the way, if you haven't seen them, you should check out her most recent pics on www.sbillmassie.com. So cute! Then it's back to work after that, and nothing really exciting is on the schedule again until Falcon Ridge, but I'm sure I'll fill in the calendar. I know Girlyman is planning to release CD #2 in May sometime.

I'm generally happy today. It's nice out, and I have a lot to look forward to. Yay:)

Before I go, one funny work story (okay maybe two):
1: Yesterday, there was one room that never became available, and when 4:30 rolled around, housekeeping was already late. The guest was kinda ticked, so we called housekeeping and were like, "Why isn't it ready?" They told us that we didn't want to know. But we had to ask. There was a lovely combination of vomit and feces on the floor, and they were having to shampoo the carpets. Ich. But funny, for some reason.

2: On my way out of work, I saw not one, but two cars attempting to drive down the golf path at Woodstone. We tell them when giving directions that they need to take their first right, and this is technically the first right...but it's for golf carts! How do you miss that? So I had a good laugh. That's all.

Peace.

I'm babysitting on Monday (and also Tuesday). :-/ sorry. But we should hang out later in the week, like Thursday or Friday (Weds I'm working on CS homework with Audrey, who by the way is ENGAGED eee!), even if it's just grabbing a meal after you're done working or something.

Are the Indigo Girls at Starr Hill? For some reason I thought I saw that. I'm thinking of seeing Marc Broussard there on 4/3 and I'm seeing Michael Tolcher there on 3/20! I've never been there and I'm far too excited...

Starr Hill is a spectacular little venue, but the Indigo Girls are too big an act to play there. Starr Hill is hosting it, but it will be at the newly revamped and open for the first time in my lifetime Paramount Theater in downtown Charlottesville. I just recently saw EFO and Rachel Davis at Starr Hill. It's a venue that is near and dear to my heart:)

Gotcha.. I thought I remembered seeing it on Starr Hill's website. That makes sense!

Have fun on the hike! It is turning to spring, isn't it? We're supposed to get more snow this week, but at least it's lighter out for longer. :)

Car on golf path - that would be a funny sight! :)
