Aug. 6th, 2003 08:28 amI went to the doctor yesterday. It was my first time visiting a non-school health center in Harrisonburg. I saw Dr. Lepley, who was totally cool. A real Doogie Houser - I think he was about 23 or 24. He gave me bunches of free sample medicine so that I wouldn't have to go to the pharmacy and pay for this prescription, which is cool in my book. Unfortunately, I'm totally sick...he said I have an infected pharynx...ew. It totally sucks. I have that old smoker lady trying to seduce you voice. I think it's funny to have the voice, but I wish I could turn it off at work. Oh well.
I also told Dr. Lepley about my acid reflux. He explained it to me, using the word "sphincter" like twenty times. I couldn't help but giggle...I'm such a dork. He was referring to the sphincter in the esophagus, of course, but I kept thinking, "he thinks I have a sphincter in my throat...hahahahaha...."
Last night was an adventure. You know all those side effects on medicine? If it's on the box, it's a pretty sure bet that I'll get them. I can't avoid the side effects. So I had them all last night, and it sucked, but Jeremy babied me while we watched season one of Sex and the City. Clark has a collection here - I'd never seen a single episode before, so I figured I'd see what I was missing. They are fun to watch, but it seems like the same plot in every episode and I really hate the friends on the show. It's not something I would plan to watch, but it's here, and nothing else is ever on tv, so I gave it a whirl. Not bad, but I don't think the show deserves any awards.
Anyway I've got to go to work, seductive old smoker lady voice and all. Peace.
