EFO was fucking awesome tonight:) The best part of the whole night had nothing to do with them, though. The band was on break, and I was chatting with the folks around me. The lady sitting behind me tapped me on the shoulder and said, "I'm sorry, I just have to tell you, you are so beautiful. When I saw you turn around I just thought, 'Wow. Just, so beautiful.'" That made my day.

But the show was awesome, too. Joe and Kitty Murphy were there, as well as the Clem parents (Elsie? and James?). Joe led us all in "the Joe" during Farmer Brown, as always. I <3 Joe:) Mr. Johnson from AHS was there. He encouraged me to apply for a teaching job at AHS. I'll think about it.

I sooooo wish Shelly could've been there. Mike was on FIRE. It may well have been the best EFO show I ever saw. Anyway, Jer and I are still glowing from the show. Now it's time to go glow together downstairs.

Peace.

I worried about them after Wolf Trap '04, and those of us on the Edhead list (are you one of them?) discussed the possible decline of the band, but all such fears were washed away after seeing them in Charlottesville last winter and now Blackfriars. I can't wait to see them at FRFF and the Lime Kiln, EFO shows #3 and #4 this year.
They changed the guitar part in Hojo's on Waukegan to electric, and it sounded really cool. Mike said he wrote that song for his parents' 30th anniversary, and they just celebrated 40. It was one of the best songs of the night, I thought.

I am on the discussion list, though I don't ever contribute, and I was at Wolf Trap last summer, and I was also disappointed in the lack of energy. I went to both Jammin' Java shows last month, thanks to who I think is Jonathan Brindley, and both were good, but I'm still waiting to see another absolutely crazy amazing show.

Are you going to Falcon Ridge this year?

I don't know yet - depends on whether or not I end up spending the summer overseas.

When you went before, where did you camp?

That's the one. And I'd be GREAT at corrupting the youth of Charlottesville - better yet, Forest Lakes.

Teaching at AHS is at least a year in my future, but it's in the works. For now I'm actually applying at MBC and the Frontier Culture place. You'll have to teach me about Staunton if I get either of those.
