So, Terri Schiavo died, the pope is dying, and Jerry Falwell seems to be making a miraculous recovery. Those are the three news stories I've been following this week. Not to sound awful or anything but I'm glad Terri Schiavo died. I know it's hard to lose a child, but the Schindlers lost their daughter 15 years ago. All the petitions and Congressional activity just made me want to spit on them. It's going to continue to be ugly, but at least Terri can move on now. The chances seem pretty good that the pope will die before I finish typing this entry. I'm far from Catholic, but if you're going to be Catholic, I guess the pope was a pretty decent one. I don't care a whole lot about whether he lives or dies; I just follow that story to look at pictures of crying nuns. (April fools, dudes, I'm not that awful.) I just have a morbid curiosity, I guess. And then there's Falwell. That guy should've died ages ago. He can take Rush Limbaugh with him.

The house looks great. Mom came and helped clean today, which was very nice of her and I am quite grateful, but I hate it when she's here. She has nothing positive to say about my home/household/job/appearance, and she's not very good at keeping her negativity to herself. The house IS clean now and it looks GREAT, and she left with an "I can't believe you live in this pig sty." Thanks. It's not messy, it's just cluttered at this point. There's just no storage space here with the two bedrooms taken up. Not to mention that with two tennants and two owners in the same place, that's a lot of stuff to store. So there's some overflow. But we stuffed the hall closet to capacity (it's organized, too) and now the house as a whole is much more feng shui.

I got my nails done today. The polish was much redder than anticipated, but I'm going to stick it out and see what kind of reception it gets. I like it.

I bought a book shelf at Lowes today. Jer and I have to put that together tonight. I'm considering cooking a really nice dinner for the boys if they get the microwave installed in a timely fashion. Although, a timely fashion would've been three weeks ago or more, but as long as it gets done by 7pm tomorrow, I won't have an aneurysm. Also on the agenda for tonight is fixing the toilet in the guest bathroom - something that should've been done in, oh, NOVEMBER, but again, as long as it's done by tomorrow, no major veins will blow.

I think Jer just pulled in. Time to get off my ass and back to work. Peace.
