jianantonicThis weekend so far has been very good. I hung out with Dr. Jo at BC on Friday afternoon and did some catching up. Then I went to the farmer's market and bought a GIANT frisbee. When I got home, I convinced Brent to come out and play with me. It's a totally bitchin' frisbee. Then I went to DC, hooked up with Emily and Charlotte, and geared up for a day of awesOMeness. Hehe. The competition brought back all these great memories, and now I can't WAIT until next season because I'm going to volunteer and judge the instant challenges, hopefully. Then it would be totally cool to get an adult team together with Emily and her family. Man, that would rock.
I headed to Charlottesville after OM, and saw my niece:) It breaks my heart, though, because whenever her mother leaves the room, she cries, and whenever you're holding her, and her mother is in the room, she's reaching for her. So it's hard to bond. But Emily and William went out and left Lucy alone with Mom and me. Dad was sleeping (or at least pretending to). At first she cried and cried (and cried and cried some more), but then we took her out for a walk and she calmed down. I fed her dinner when we got in, and I must say, I did a great job. No mess at all. I do recognize that this was probably a fluke and I am not actually ready for children yet. But by the end of the evening, Lucy was very giggly with me and very loving. She let me hold her and play games with her and I LOVE HER SO MUCH! She didn't cry anymore the rest of the night. I was so happy:)
Now I'm supposed to be in bed sleeping, because I work 7-3 tomorrow, but I don't wanna. (Don't wanna sleep or work tomorrow.) I need to, though. After work, I'm going to Roanoke to stay with the in-laws for a night. We'll have dinner with Annette's parents, and then Jeremy will get home around midnight, and we'll spend the night there. I miss him so much! I'm so glad the week is almost over! I <3 my husband:)
Anyway, I guess I'll go sleep now...sigh...
