Apr. 25th, 2005 10:33 amThis weekend was spectacular. Jeremy and I drove to Williamsburg yesterday morning and got there around 11 - 2 hours early for the concert. So we walked around Colonial Williamsburg. It's so cool how that's right on the edge of campus like it is. They were having a big craft fair there, too, so I wandered around that looking at all the different jewelers and such. It was great, and somehow I managed to not spend any money.
The Accidentals were great. I, of course, cried like a baby when they gave away the seniors. The concert was really good, despite the crying. I'm so excited for Emily being the director next year. Yay for her. We stayed for the Christopher Wren Singers' concert afterward, cause Emily's in that, too. The music wasn't really my cup of tea but I liked it all the same. They are good:)
Then the Gerckes took us all out to dinner. By us all, I mean it was George and Nancy Gercke, Emily's grandmother and uncle, Emily, Chris, me and Jeremy. We ate at the Olive Garden which was the yum. I can't believe I cleaned my plate...but I did:) Mmm, cheese...
We made it all the way back from Williamsburg in two hours and ten minutes. I don't think I was even speeding. We didn't go through Charlottesville, so I think that cut a lot of time off our trip. On the way home, we talked to Emily V on the phone and got the news that she'll be at FRFF this year! As I did for Helen, I offered to buy her ticket as a birthday present in exchange for the purchase of a hippie dress for me from one of the vendors at the festival. Rah:) She's going to ride up with us, too. Good times.
Today my parents are coming to take me out to birthday dinner and I suppose I should get my nails done. Then at 11 tonight I'm concentrating on some ebay auctions that will be ending...otherwise, I have no plans. Probably lots of craft-type work. I wrote another children's story today, and Rebekah hooked me up with her mom who apparently has some connections, so I'm getting jazzed about that. How much is reasonable to expect if I do sell a story, I wonder? Probably not much...hehe. Anyway, I'm off...
Peace.
