May. 3rd, 2005 12:16 amGrown adults can be so childish sometimes. Rather than go into detail, I will just say there are some people I am really annoyed with right now. Because I know someone will wonder, I will say this has absolutely nothing to do with a private conversation I had with someone earlier tonight. I promise. Anyway.
Elizabeth is leaving tomorrow for her interview. She'll be back for a few weeks after the interview but then will be gone for good after that. She's over here tonight...sitting on the couch talking to Jer at the moment...but I'm really going to miss her (you). It's been nice to have another female in this house (besides my husband), and she'll be oh so far away now. On the other hand, I'm very happy for her because she's in a great place in her life right now. She's got a great boyfriend that cares about her 100%, she's getting a new car, and probably a great new job. It's a real turn around from when we first started hanging out, and I think it's great. So everyone give her hugs and send out your happiest of happy thoughts on Thursday when she's in her interview. It's all day long so keep 'em coming. (And while you're on it, try to remember happy thoughts for me and MBC...)
Even though I'm pissed off at the moment (something I don't care to discuss right now), it has been a good day. I went to Charlottesville to hang out with my folks, and I had lunch with Paul and Adam. Adam and I have never lost touch, and I'm sure we never will. Paul is one of those friends that I'll always be able to call and meet up with, but I really wish I could see more of him. He's talking about getting an apartment in Harrisonburg next semester, but I kind of think that's a long shot. Paul's not one to up and leave. He's got Nancy and Lee and Riovia to keep him in Charlottesville. Not to mention that fact that you'd have to be absolutely unhinged to voluntarily uproot a perfectly decent life in C'ville for this 'burg. Nothing against Harrisonburg, but it really sucks sometimes...
I have more to say but people on my buddy list get talkative late at night so I think I'll pay attention to real people instead of the imaginary people that read my LJ.
I'd just like to wrap this up by saying that I love being a hippie. More on that later.
Peace.
