I think I figured out that bead loom thing, but I haven't finished a bracelet yet, so I won't get ahead of myself. On the first bracelet, I picked out a pattern, and then didn't string enough thread, so I had to change my pattern. I got about 1/3 done (took forever to get started!) and got a knot in it. In trying to work it out, I ended up knocking the loom into an open can of beads and all the beads spilled on the floor. Thank God Elizabeth was here to help me clean the beads up, or I would've cried. I never did get the knot out, so I cut the string off the loom and started over with enough thread to do the original pattern. It's going well, but the colors don't show up as well as I'd like them to. I need to go get some brighter beads in Charlottesville - I'll probably go on Tuesday. First I need $$. Sigh.

I took a long nap today, but I still should go to bed early. I was dragging ass at work today. I pretty much slept this afternoon from 3:30ish until 6. That was nice, but it still didn't catch up for all the sleep I didn't get last night. Yet, here I sit, 11pm, not sleeping. Damn husband working a double shift. He probably won't be home until 1am, so I'd best go to sleep before then. Tomorrow will be a long day, but it promises to be fun. After work, Jer, Nathan, and I are all going together to Staunton for Mothers' Day feasting with my in-laws.

I guess it's time to try to sleep again. Wish me luck.

Yay for beads! Fun stuff. Have you done any of those little flower type bead bracelets, like what Helen used to make? Oh man...I don't even know where half my old friendship bracelets are, anymore. Probably in a jewelry box in my room somewheres. Hmm...



hahaha, p.s.: Eric is wearing my roommate Julia's wool poncho so they can go out in the Gardens and wrestle. It is absurdly small on him, and I am amused.
