First off, happy graduation day to many of my friends! I know it's bittersweet for a lot of you, but true friends will always be there, no matter where you end up on the map, and there's a world of opportunity out there...just sayin' :)
Today Jer and I met the beloved Ms. Hunt at the Blackfriars Playhouse in Staunton for Twelfth Night. I'd never seen or read it before, so once I got the characters figured out, it was a real treat for me:) Jeremy did all the necessary explaining, because he's pretty familiar with the play. When you have two not-so-identical cast members playing identical twins, it's hard to figure out:) But I definitely recommend it, and I'm so glad I finally got to check out the Shenandoah Shakespeare company! Kudos to Donna for coming up with that idea.
After the play, we all went to a bistro in Staunton for overpriced but yummy food. It was great catching up with Donna, and her students were a trip. I told her that I remember thinking I was cool when I was 17, but being in the company of so many 17 year olds, I'm rethinking that...;)
I made Jer drive home because I was sleepy. I don't really remember our specific conversation, but the drive went by like lightning. It was a fast 45 minutes and I love the opportunity to do some pure hanging out with my husband. Then when we got home, I stayed awake just long enough to change clothes, pee, and pop in a DVD. As soon as the DVD was rolling, I was in dreamland. I woke up briefly around 9pm when Jer got up to play on the computer, but slept pretty soundly until midnight. A solid five hours.
Tomorrow, Jer, Elizabeth, and I are going hiking in the park. That is, whenever we all wake up, which may be awhile, since we're all still up now. I'm very excited about the pretty day and the outside-with-friendsness. Anyone else who wants to join us, just give me a call by tomorrow AM.
