I started reading the first Harry Potter book today at work. I've never read so much as I do at work. Sad that I have to be there and at the same time get paid to do pretty much whatever I please. It could be worse - I could work weekend nights, then I'd be doing the same thing over and over again. "Hi! Welcome to Massanutten Resort!" All night? No thank you. Anyway I do like the book. Thanks to caddy Lindy for the recommendation (actually it was an order).
Chris said he was not going to allow Shayla to switch to Thursdays, and he was going to give that shift to Cave instead. Thank heavens. Because what if I don't get the MBC job? I might have to stay at the resort until I can finish grad school...shudder...living here is great. Working is not.
I thought I had something more substantive to say today but I guess it's all slipped my mind. To bed I go. Day off tomorrow. That means swimming, banking, shopping for a shirt for Jer to wear for the wedding, washing clothes and general house cleaning. It's better than work.
And to keep the trend alive of throwing in motivational folkin' awesome quotes:
"Now there's smoke across the harbor
And there's factories on the shore
And the world is ill with greed and will
And enterprise of war
But I will lay my burdens
In the cradle of your grace
And the shining beaches of your love
And the sea of your embrace
This is my home
This is my only home
This is the only sacred ground that I have ever known
Should I stray
In the dark night alone
Rock me, Goddess
In the gentle arms of Eden."
~Dave Carter, Gentle Arms of Eden
Peace.
