You know, I don't think "exhausted" is technically a mood, but it is how my body feels. Things today just did not go according to plan. For instance, I set the alarm clock last night for 6:15am this morning. As always with weekends, I had to be at work by 7am. Well. Apparently, the alarm went off (though I have no recollection of this) and I told Jeremy to turn it off because I was awake. Well, that was the asleep version of me telling a dirty, dangerous lie. Jeremy woke up at 6:48, noticed I was still in bed, and got me up promptly. I made it to work on time (5 minutes early, actually!) by throwing on the same clothes as yesterday and employing the French method, which is spraying perfume or body spray in front of you and dancing around in it for a few seconds. My hair was a disaster and I know I didn't smell great, but I think most people just figured I'm a hippie so I'm supposed to be like that sometimes. It was all good. From the moment I arrived at work, I was looking wistfully ahead to 3pm - punchout time. At 1, Chris came in and begged me to work late. I said I'd think it over, but at 3 I put on my best puppy eyes and said, "Please don't hate me forever, but I'm going home now." Chris said he would definitely hate me with great fervor, but I'm pretty sure he was just kidding, so I stuck to my guns and left.

Jer fixed me a positively yucky microwave dinner from Gardenburger (grilled "chicken" with squash, zucchini, beans, and peppers) at 4. Since we'd planned to swim at 6, I had to eat early. It's a good thing I was hungry, because that dinner was FOUL. I don't care if I am a vegetarian, I hate vegetables! But I'm proud of myself for eating it because apparently it's really good for you or something.

I got really tired after eating and popped in Napoleon Dynamite. I damn near fell asleep, but didn't let myself. We went to the pool as intended at 6. The water was much colder than usual. It was only 74 degrees, which is cold for pool water. Jer sat at the end of my lane and cheered me on, kind of. Mostly he just told me what I was doing wrong, but that fucker didn't swim, so he can talk when he's in the pool. I did complete my ten laps, and I decided the new goggles are a success, even if I do look stupid in them. Some kids in the pool were splashing and fucking around and hit me twice while I was swimming. The lifeguards didn't do shit. That kind of irked me. I take that back. It really infuriated me. But I gave them the evil eye and went on my merry way, feeling better.

The plan was to get in the hot tub, but it was closed. I suppose we do have the one here...but it takes too long to fill up.

Anyhow...I think I'll nap/sleep now. I don't think I have much choice in that matter...my body won't have it otherwise.

Peace.

I don't think Gardenburger is the best company, FYI. There are "yummier" fake patties out there. That's a hilarious sentence! :)

Has it been fairly quiet at the pool, and now the kiddies are getting out of school? I hope the lifeguard steps it up a bit!

Morningstar Farms is our favorite brand, but Gardenburger makes these TV dinner type things, so they're a little more convenient...I'm not going to keep buying them though.

That's the brand I was thinking of! I remember really liking Morningstar Farms. What is your favorite type/flavor? I have been meaning to buy them again....

I really like all the chickens. Jeremy uses the fake ground beef and bacon in a lot of recipes. He's such a good chef.
