E and I just got back from a fantastic workout. We walked to the gym, did the one hour aquaerobics class (anyone in the Valley area, I urge you to check out this class with us...it's effing wonderful), then we went to the outdoor pool and swam laps until we were exhausted. We bobbed around the pool for a little while longer, soaked up some sun (probably too much for my skin but too little for a tan), and walked back home. I took a cold shower this morning, and for the first time since 2003, I'm wearing a form-fitting tank top. I feel so good.

Jeremy says that not being on birth control anymore has really elevated everything in me. He's right. I think lack of the patch is definitely the culprit. I am working out easier, having fewer asthma attacks, having more energy (for some of Jeremy's favorite activities), and my body looks so much better. In the last week, I don't know if I've actually lost any weight, but all my curves are in the right places, and I'm down a size from the beginning of summer. Rah!

Anyway, Elizabeth and I are on our way to Big Lots now to find a kickboard. :)

Peace.

Good grief, I'm being a comment whore today..

1 - Alison Krauss is one of my favorite artists ever.
2 - How much is this class, times, etc....
3 - Who teaches it? OUt of sheer curiosity. I used to do a girl's hair who ended up teaching a class at Appalachian Physical Therapy a few years back and she is a RIOT!

The teacher is named Kathy Hensley. The class is free, but you have to have a pass to get in. Since I work at the front desk, that can be arranged...*wink*

Less asthma issues?! Wow, I never realized there was a connection there. I wonder if that is a factor for me. Are you doing anything other than the patch, if you don't mind my asking?

I'm not, because my prescription just ran out and I no longer have health insurance, so I can't afford a PAP or the price of the Rx right now. I'm not looking forward to "that time of the month," but so far, so good.

Ah well, gotta do what you gotta do. Do you have a Planned Parenthood by you? I know they scale their costs down if necessary. I (seriously) don't know what it's like NOT to be on hormonal BC.

I don't qualify for the free clinic here, cause I'm too rich. Stupid Republicans - I make 14K a year. Rolling in the dough, I am.

I have been on BC since I first "became a woman," so this is literally my first month without it. I didn't switch to the patch until two years ago, and even though it was better for me periodwise, I'm starting to realize just how awful it was for my body and emotions.

I've been on it that long too. 14 years I think? It's all I know, I guess.

I hope you continue to feel better without it! :)
