No, I'm not at King's Dominion today
Jun. 13th, 2005 11:18 amBut maybe next week we can go. My foot is a bit better today. The swelling is significantly less, but the pain is about the same. Still can't walk, that's all that matters.
Last night was effing awesome, though. Jeremy's college roommate from his first two years at BC, Link, and one of the other core members of their inner circle, Carrie, came over to play. We drove around the mountain and talked about how they should both apply for jobs here, because it just so happens that jobs exist that would be perfect for each of them. I'm excited about that, because more intellectual and fun friends in my area is pretty much the one thing I want most in the world (for myself, I should say). I <3 McGaheysville. I do not <3 McGaheysville residents, for the most part.
We went to CiCi's, Link gave me a wonderful compliment that still makes me blush a little bit just thinking of it, and we had a good time. We went to Kohls, and Link insisted on pushing me around in a wheelchair. That was a damn good time if ever there was one. Simple pleasures:) We drove the two of them back home to Waynesboro and yakked the whole way. Seeing Jeremy having a good time with the people I know he loves most in the world just made me really happy. He's been missing them terribly for a long time, and after spending a day with them, I totally see why. I mean, shit, they gave me something other than my stupid foot to write about in the LJ. Rock on. They also gave me a bunch of movies to watch. Jer and I just finished the first Harry Potter movie this morning. I loved it, yes, but I was also disappointed that it's nowhere near the wonderful thing that is the book. But that's ok. Who would've guessed her name was "Her MINE ee?" Also, is it wrong for me to think that the kid playing Harry Potter is a total babe? ;)
Anyway, I have two goals for the near future: heal foot and spend more time with Link and Carrie.
Peace.

Date: 2005-06-13 09:40 am (UTC)When I was first reading the first book I thought it was "her me oh knee"
hehe!
I hoped your foot would feel better after the weekend :( Have you seen a doctor about it?

Date: 2005-06-13 09:52 am (UTC)When I was reading the book, I thought it was her me own. In the movie, they do pronounce the "o," but only very subtly. I guess it's more like "her MAYA knee." Still, not what I would have thought. But I do like it better than "her me own."
