I got off work early. Partly because I went in early, and partly because I was starting to be a real smartass on the phone:
Guest: Three times now I've called and asked for this room -
Me: And three times now I've connected you.
Guest: No, I got a voice mail
Me: Because they're on the other line and instead of waiting for the voice mail message to tell you that, you keep disconnecting and calling me.

Or, my personal favorite:
Guest: I've been trying to call my parents for over an hour now and they're not answering.
Me: I know, I'm starting to recognize your voice.
Guest: Well I need to get in touch with them and they're not answering in their room.
Me: They're not required to stay in their room, you know. They're probably out.
Guest: But they're old. They shouldn't be out for so long.
Me: Then why do they even come on vacation?

So I think Matt was more than happy to oblige when I asked to leave at 9:)

Also, I'm almost finished with Harry Potter #2 now. DAMN that's a good ending (although I'm not QUITE done yet so no comments on it just yet, please). I'm still having trouble pronouncing Hermione's name correctly. I still catch myself reading it the old way.

Elizabeth just informed me that there are fresh homemade cookies in the microwave (it doubles as a cabinet). That's my cue...

Hahaha, just wait till #4. That's when I learned to pronounce Hermione's name correctly. It's amusing, and you aren't likely to forget it after that.

Everyone keeps telling me they get REALLY good at #4. But #1 and #2 are REALLY good!
