I tried not taking any codeine this morning because yesterday I had felt alright all day. That was a mistake. I ended up popping some pills of various sorts around 1, and I've been feeling fine since then. To keep myself entertained, I have been planning my wedding. So far here's what I've got:

Jer and I are asking the three Philosophy and Religion profs to perform the ceremony, since we are close with all of them and that way it will be a religiously neutral wedding. We ran into the dilemma of how to split a wedding three ways. We know we want Watson to do the vows, and we were thinking that Scheppard could open the wedding with some stories about us (along the lines of a sermon), but then what's left for Abshire? Well, the other dilemma that we had was how to involve certain children. There are a LOT of toddlers in my family, and to pick one for ring bearer/flower girl over the others would be a death wish, so we decided not to have a ring bearer or flower girl but instead to have a children's story, which Dr. Abshire can present. We'll have all the kids come forward and we'll take pictures of them up there and that will be like they are participating in the wedding. Also during the ceremony I want Emily to sing/play the piano. For the reception, we are going to have Girlyman play, which is great because they actually do weddings and "our song" is "The Shape I Found You In" by them, so it will be perfect. We're going to have a buffet dinner at our reception, but no meat or alcohol (two big ways to cut cost, too). I'm trying to think of a way to work in the Accidentals into the reception, too, because I really want them to sing there. Maybe while Girlyman is taking a break or during dinner, since you can't really dance to acappella but I really want them there. Honestly the best time would probably be while Jer and I are doing pictures, but that doesn't work because Emily is going to be in the pictures, and she can't not sing, and also I don't want to miss it! So that's something I'll talk over with Emily and figure out, assuming they're willing to perform at my wedding. Oh, we're having it at Massanetta Springs, which is a really pretty resort in Rockingham County. Yay:) Our cake will be chocolate and vanilla, and only chocolate and vanilla. For the bridesmaids, I'm going to pick the fabric and let each of them choose the style they want for their dress. I'm leaning heavily toward a dark green satin, because that will look great on Emily and she is the maid of honor so she wins. It also won't look bad on the other girls I have in mind. I guess I'm doing pretty well as far as the plans go. I've got eleven months to figure out the rest. Our honeymoon is going to be the Edhead cruise:) I'm very excited about this all. Anyhow, I'm going to go now and sleep, because that is what the drugs tell me to do.

Peace.
