This is a great quote:
"Way back where I come from, we never mean to bother/We don't like to make our passions other people's concern/And we walk in a world of safe people/And at night we walk into our houses and burn."
That's Dar Williams. I love her!
Anyway, I am really hoping for snow and SCHOOL CANCELLATIONS for the rest of the week. That would give me time to catch up on things and not have to take incompletes in any classes. Man, that would rock. I'd also get some more hours in at work, which can only help in this here holiday season.
So, yeah, I hit a car this morning. Not my fault. People here double park like it ain't no thang, and it was a mathematical impossibility that I could've gotten out without hitting him. Bastards! The worst part - MY car gets dented, his (or hers), which was ILLEGALLY PARKED, has not a scratch. Double bastards! That's okay, though, my car could use more dents.
As much as I hate my life right now, and how stressed out I am, I have a lot to look forward to. I think it will do me some good to list these things:
12/7 - Girlyman concert
12/12 - EFO concert
12/16 - my last exam - that's only 2 weeks
12/19 - Robbie Schaefer concert
12/21 - Solstice
12/25 - Jesus' Birthday Party
12/31 - New Years Party
1/1 - Time and a half at work
1/12 - Mixed Nuts Party
3/?? - Spring Break in New York
3/17 - My niece is due
4/27 - 21st birthday
5/16 - Graduation
7/1-7/10 - DC Regional
7/21-26 - Falcon Ridge
7/31 - Move into a house I own by now...
9/?? - Wedding bells
See? That's not so bad...I've got a lot of stuff to look forward to. My life rocks. Sometimes. And of course tonight I get to look forward to eating cake after dinner, because Zsa-Zsa brought home an absolutely massive sheet cake last night, and someone's gotta eat it!
So anyone who wants cake, now's the time. Also, there will be a Pirates viewing on Friday. Come one, come all.
Peace.
